Within the Community, and based on the reproductive nature shared by both men and women, this midwives' community was born with the purpose of facilitating the arrival of new beings through births that honor women and their nature, as well as establishing the recognition of live births.

The history of midwifery is ancestral, and its origins lie in the fact that giving life is part of a woman’s nature. Providing support and accompaniment in the process of giving life has always been something completely natural and instinctive, developed throughout pregnancy and during childbirth. Understanding how our ancestors lived in community—within tribes and clans—how they related to one another and assumed responsibilities based on the wisdom passed down through life experience, as well as their love for the land they lived on and the living beings that made up their community, is essential to grasp the deeper meaning of one of life’s most magical moments: childbirth.

We live in a time where industrialization, mechanization, rigid protocols, extreme medicalization, the loss of values, and the supremacy of the ego have turned life into a process of chronic stress. From birth to death, there seems to be time only to remain productive within the corporate system. This is considered "normal," stripping life of its true essence: quality time with oneself and loved ones.

Generally speaking, no one pays attention to the magic of nature and the process of life itself—something absolutely vital to understanding who we are. That is why those who realize there is another path, that things can change—those who wish to discover their inner journey and live guided by it, whose path is respected as they, in turn, respect life, the creative process, and the greatness of our being—will find open doors in our Community. They are welcome to step into the magic of life, to move forward and explore without fear, and to do so with the certainty that who we truly are transcends any social or legal construct.

All of this drives the dedication of the Emporion Community and its Midwives, who have made every resource available so that anyone wishing to reclaim this natural and ancestral way of life may do so in full awareness and peace of mind. And may all the new beings we welcome into this world through this Community be received within the natural way of life that is inherent and inviolable to us.
